How to Play Fast Guitar
Playing a fast guitar is a desire of many rocking musicians or guitarists including me. During 1980s, I myself had a strange desire of playing a fast guitar. I admit it was my craziness and thus, it started learning notes and charts for making the rhythm run faster. The cravings of playing faster were just not moving from my brains and I started with tremendous speed.
I must say that practicing over again and again is the only tip for playing a fast guitar. Mechanical memory helps in playing a fast guitar. Your fingers can do a great job for you via mechanical memory and your dedication to play fast. Let your fingers be there, where the string needs second by second.
Scales: Scales are known as some warming time. Yeah, you can warm up with scales and I too did that. Playing scales for around 15-20 minutes can give a best start. By playing more scales, speed is grasped easily.
You can start with the Major scale ‘G’. Start playing it forward and backward for more than ten minutes and move the frets towards another scale ‘A’. Do not stop this procedure because you have to perform it longer by catching other chords like B, C, D, A, E, etc to the fifteenth fret ‘G’.
Playing clean is the tip over here. It is vital to play clean as carelessness can take away music even on electric guitars. Let your mistakes get heard by you and hence, play safe!
Practicing guitar on acoustic can really help any musician to play faster. Learn to play fast on acoustic guitar and then see how beautifully you play the same on electric.
